By Helena Petry - inFlamengo's artistic gymnastics teams won six medals at the Brazilian Championships held last weekend. In São Bernardo do Campo (SP), Jade Barbosa took silver in the individual all-around, and the Children's team took second place in the team competition, along with a gold, two silvers, and a bronze. The Adult team final, which was scheduled to be held on Sunday (24), the last day of competition, was canceled.

In the morning, technical problems were identified in the electrical network at the Adib Moysés Dib gymnasium, the event's venue, which prevented the competition from continuing. The Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation issued a statement informing that a new date will be announced for the competition. The Mais Querido had finished Saturday's (23) competition in first place overall and was one of the favorites for the title after great performances by the red-black athletes.

On Friday (22), the gymnasts trained by Ângelo Sabino debuted in the tournament in the vault and asymmetrical parallel events. In the vault, Jade achieved a score of 13.650, Flávia Saraiva got 13.550 and Luisa Kirchmayer got 13.150. Isabelle Retamiro was the best athlete of Mais Querido in the apparatus, scoring 13.800 points. In the asymmetrical, Jade got 13.850, just behind Lorrane Oliveira, who with 13.900 points was the best placed in the entire competition.
The following day, with two impeccable performances on the balance beam and floor, where she was the highest-scoring athlete, Flávia Saraiva wowed the crowd in the gymnasium. The gymnast scored 14.350 and 14.000 points on the apparatus, respectively, but due to a fall on the unevenness the previous day, she missed the podium in the individual all-around. On the balance beam, Jade also shone, scoring 13.600, while Luisa earned 12.650. The young Flamengo player also performed excellently on the floor, earning 13.000 points. In the same event, Jade Barbosa scored 13.200, totaling 54.300 and winning silver in the all-around competition.

In the Children's category, led by Daniela Antunes, in addition to the second-place team finish, there was a red-and-black double on the individual all-around podium with Maria Heloisa Carvalho in first and Manuela Garcia in second. On the floor, silver went to Maria Manuela Silva, and on the vault, bronze went to Ana Leticia Silva.
