The red-blacks Flávia Saraiva and Jade Barbosa won gold and silver, respectively, at the South American Games this Wednesday (30). Defending the Brazilian artistic gymnastics team in Cochabamba, Bolivia, the athletes climbed onto the podium on the balance beam once again on the last day of competition in the sport at the tournament. 

On the first day of finals, last Monday (28), Flavinha secured second place in the individual all-around, while Jade took third. The athletes also climbed to the highest place on the team podium with the rest of the Brazilian team. On Tuesday (29), Flávia won her first individual gold on the uneven bars with 13,950 points, and Jade, with 13,600, took silver. 

The country finished the artistic gymnastics competition in first place overall, with 21 medals in both the men's and women's categories: ten gold, seven silver, and four bronze. The next red-and-black athlete to compete in the South American Games is Maria Clara Lobo, from artistic swimming, who competes in the duet competition.
