Flamengo concluded its participation in the Brazilian Gymnastics Championships, held last weekend in Recife, with a standout performance, reaffirming its tradition and leading role in the sport. The red-and-black team once again demonstrated its strength in both the youth and adult categories, securing important collective and individual achievements.
In the children's competition, Mengão shone by winning the men's and women's team titles, a result that reinforces the consistent work it does developing young athletes. In addition to the collective trophies, the club won 15 individual medals in the category, demonstrating the projection of the new generations for the future of national artistic gymnastics.
In the adult category, Flamengo once again confirmed its importance in the Brazilian sports scene. The women's team won the team championship, celebrating a result that consolidates the club's excellent work. In the individual all-around, Flamengo also reached the podium with Isabel Aguilar, who won the silver medal, and Júlia Coutinho, who secured the bronze, reinforcing Flamengo's presence among the country's top gymnasts.
The apparatus finals were also marked by strong performances from Flamengo athletes. Flavinha shone and won gold on the balance beam, confirming her talent on one of the sport's most technical apparatuses. Lorrane Oliveira secured the silver medal on the parallel bars, while Júlia Coutinho returned to the podium with another silver, this time on the floor. In the same event, Duda Montesino completed the Flamengo celebrations by taking bronze, securing a historic double for the club.
With these results, Flamengo concludes its participation in the Brazilian Championship with the certainty that it will continue its tradition of achievements and the discovery of new talent.
