With a hat trick from Brendha, Flamengo thrashed Internacional 4-1 in the Brasileirão Sub-20 semi-final.
Top scorer decides the game on a brilliant night, Leane completes the scoring, and Flamengo heads south with a significant advantage.

Flamengo took a big step towards the final of the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship. Playing at Luso Brasileiro, the team led by Filipe Torres easily defeated Internacional, with Brendha in inspired form – the number 9 scored a hat-trick – winning 4-1 in the first leg of the semi-final. Now, the team can even lose by two goals and still secure a place in the final.
The game
Knowing the importance of winning, Flamengo started by pressing high and creating many opportunities. Right in the opening minute, Isabela Nunes took a free kick and the ball went just wide of the post. Then, Sofia headed the ball, but the defender cleared it off the line.
Before the technical break, Brendha gained speed and was brought down by Camilly outside the area. The referee signaled a foul and sent off the goalkeeper. Isabela Nunes' free kick was saved by Valentina. At 29', it was Anna Luiza's turn to try her luck and almost scored. At 34', Brendha took advantage of a good play by Ana Papel, but the ball just wouldn't go in. At the end of the first half, Ana Papel's shot hit the post and, despite all the pressure, the score remained 0-0.
In the second half, those who went to Luso Brasileiro witnessed a gala performance from the group and a show by Brendha. Five minutes in, Yasmim Cardozo – who was fundamental – delivered a perfect cross for the number 9 to simply tap the ball into the net: 1-0. At 11', Leane made a great individual play and beat Valentina: 2-0.
Even with the lead, the team didn't stop attacking and was rewarded in the 21st minute. In another play by Yasmin Cardozo, Brendha volleyed the ball home to score her second: 3-0. The hat-trick came in the 28th minute and it was a spectacular goal. Bruna delivered a through pass, the striker placed her shot perfectly and just ran to celebrate: 4-0. The route didn't slow the pace down, and Bruna had a great opportunity to score the fifth, but she couldn't reach Isabela Nunes' cross.
In the final stretch, Internacional reduced the deficit with a goal from Gi Mazzotti, and Flamengo had more chances. In the last act, Anna Luiza dribbled past several defenders, chipped the ball over the goalkeeper, it hit the post, and the referee ended the match. The overall result was a resounding victory and an excellent advantage in the tie.
Next appointment
Flamengo will face Internacional again only on May 20th (Wednesday), at the Francisco Novelletto Stadium, for the second game.
