Flamengo achieved last year (29) the mark of eight consecutive matches without losing throughout the season. This is the club's best race this year and equals the performance at the end of last season.
During this period, Flamengo was very short on the scoreboard. I was only 16 minutes down, precisely in the first match of the series, against Santos, at the beginning of April, at Maracaná.
Since Pedro's equalizing goal in the 64th minute of that match, the panorama changed completely: the team never again went from behind the scorer. Apart from these two parties, they were on the scoreboard for almost 500 minutes and tied for 291 minutes.
The unbeaten streak began with this victory resurfacing the score against Santos and was consolidated with important results, such as the one obtained against Cusco at the height and in the derby against Fluminense. During this period, the team also achieved a resounding victory in the Copa Libertadores, comfortably defeated Bahía, obtained a win in the Copa de Brasil against Vitória and delivered a dominant performance against Atlético-MG as a visitor.
The only draw in the race was produced in the last match, against Estudiantes de La Plata in Argentina, a result that keeps Flamengo ahead of Group A of the Libertadores. Before that, the team had accumulated seven consecutive victories, something that had not happened since March 2024.
