The former midfielder donated his jersey and boots to the club's historical heritage and became emotional upon arriving at the museum in the final act of his career.

Some farewells are different because they don't represent an end, but help to immortalize stories.
After four seasons wearing the Sacred Mantle (Flamengo's jersey), Thaisa ended her beautiful and victorious career as a professional athlete exactly where she chose to be upon returning to Brazil. She played exactly 100 games for Flamengo, winning titles, experiencing memorable moments, and leaving a legacy that transcends the pitch.
The invitation to join Flamengo came in 2022. It was there that the now former midfielder saw something that went beyond the simple challenge of returning home after playing for major European clubs. She saw the opportunity to be part of building a project.
“When the project was presented to me, I understood the grandeur that people wanted it to have. Flamengo is an extraordinary club, known worldwide, and I wanted to be a part of it. I hope I left my mark in some way.”
And he left. On the field, he delivered experience, leadership, and talent. Off the field, he helped strengthen the club and inspire the younger generation to dream. And, consequently, to achieve. And that's what most moves the eternal number 5.
“What makes me feel the most is thinking that when I started playing, I never imagined I could have a career in this sport. Today, these young girls can look at me and think about wearing the jersey. I think that's my greatest legacy, and I'm ending this happy. Today, women can make a living from football.”
The farewell was filled with tears and a feeling of accomplishment. Thaisa went to Gávea to donate a game-worn jersey and her last pair of cleats to the Historical Heritage collection. Afterwards, she made one last visit to the Flamengo Museum and was greeted with the trophies she had won throughout her career.
“I am extremely grateful to have worn the Sacred Mantle. I was overjoyed with everything they did for me, and I will never forget that phone call four years ago with an irresistible invitation. My heart shone, my eyes shone, but I only truly grasped the magnitude of it when I arrived. When I felt the love for Flamengo, everything changed. It was an honor to be here, and I want to thank the Nation for their affection.”
Her career comes to an end, but her legacy remains. It remains because those who are role models will always be remembered. And whenever we talk about women's football, we will talk about Thaisa de Moraes Rosa Moreno.
