Young player signs for two more seasons and declares his love for the club: "It's my home"

Having won every title in the youth categories and being one of the most promising players in women's football in recent years, Kaylane will remain at Flamengo! The attacking midfielder – a starter for the professional team this season – has signed a contract extension until 2028.
Born in 2008, the young player arrived at Flamengo in 2022 and stood out in the Carioca Sub-17 tournament. The following year, she won the Copinha (São Paulo Junior Cup) as the youngest player in the squad. In 2024, she won the Carioca Sub-20 and the Brazilian Championship in that category. Last year, she was a key player in the team's second consecutive Copinha title, scoring the first goal in the final. Today, she has already played 15 games and scored one goal for the first team.
"This is one of the best moments of my life. Flamengo is my home, and the renewal is important to continue the work that has been done. I never hide from anyone how happy I am here. The club welcomed me, gave me the best opportunities, and everything I have experienced in my life has a Flamengo component," he stated.
Kaylane's career already includes appearances for the Brazilian National Team. She won the South American Under-17 Championship, participated in two World Cups – the second wearing the number 10 jersey and the captain's armband – and won the South American Under-20 Championship. Recently, she was called up by Arthur Elias for the friendly matches against the United States and became the youngest player to take the field.
"Getting to the national team was a dream come true, and obviously, Flamengo was fundamental in making that happen. Of course, wearing the yellow jersey is special, but I believe that all of this is the result of hard work done every day. The experience I had with the senior team is something that will stay with me, and I want to return, but it depends on how things go here, so I remain very focused," she explained.
The continued use of the number 20 jersey reinforces the strategy of valuing young players developed at the club and investing in their potential for growth, consolidating a group full of athletes with the Flamengo DNA.
"When the renewal offer came, I didn't think twice. My family gave me all their support and we are all happy. Flamengo is a club that highly values those who go through the youth development process; just look at the number of girls from the youth academy in the professional team. So, there's no better place for me to continue my career. I really want to win titles and write my name in history," she concluded.
