History

The Gávea headquarters is the main headquarters of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, where most of the club's athletes train. On November 14, 1931, by municipal decree 3.686, Flamengo was granted the right to lease and lease the land at Lagoa. There, the club built its first football stadium, with wooden fences.

On December 28, 1933, then-president José Bastos Padilha paid the fee of 497 contos de réis and Flamengo was able to begin construction work on the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, with a capacity for 6 spectators at the time.



LOCATION AND STRUCTURE


Located in a prime area of ​​Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, at the foot of Christ the Redeemer, Flamengo's headquarters occupies an area of ​​73 m2 and houses the board offices, the main hall, auditorium, and the entire administrative building of the club. The Social Club has three gyms, restaurants, seven tennis courts, a children's water park, five swimming pools, and a large leisure area.

The Gávea Sports Complex houses the Rowing, Swimming, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball, Artistic Gymnastics, Judo, Futsal and Tennis teams, in addition to the José Bastos Padilha Stadium.

Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 7am to 21pm

VISITATION FOR GUESTS OF MEMBERS

Tickets cost R$100 for adults and R$50 for children aged 6 to 15. Entry is free for children aged 0 to 5. Visitors will not be allowed to remain in the club after the established closing time. Visiting hours are daily from 9 am to 18 pm.
