One of Flamengo's reinforcements for the 2011/2012 season, American David Jackson is already in Rio de Janeiro and begins training at the club this Friday (02.09) at 10:30 am. The winger/point guard will do some physical tests and next week he will begin training with the ball.

Jackson was playing for La Union in Argentina and was voted the best player in the Argentine League (in 2009, with Peñarol, from Mar Del Plata) and the best forward/point guard in the competition (2010 and 2011). Last season, he averaged 19,4 points per game.

This season, Flamengo also signed Argentine power forward Federico Kammerichs, Brazilian national team center Caio Torres and NBA forward Leandrinho from the Toronto Raptors.
