Flamengo athletes are called up to the Under-17 Basketball Team
Tiago Zibecchi and João Vitor dos Santos will represent Mais Querido in the team preparing for the South American Championship

Invited to compete in the Basketball Development League (LDB) for the first time, the Brazilian Men's Under-17 National Team will feature two athletes from the "Mais Querido" team. Forward Tiago Zibecchi and center João Vitor França dos Santos were called up by coach André Germano and will represent Flamengo on the national team.
This unprecedented participation in the LDB, at the invitation of the National Basketball League (LNB), will serve as a test for the team to prepare for the 2015 South American Championship in September in Argentina. The South American Championship is a qualifying stage for the 2016 U-18 Copa América, which will qualify for the 2017 U-19 World Cup.
Tiago and João Vítor will accompany the other 12 players called up to Uberlândia at the end of July, where the first stage of the competition will take place.
