Opening the NBB 10 semifinal series, FlaBasquete faced Mogi das Cruzes this Saturday (28), away from home. The first clash between the teams took place at the Professor Hugo Ramos gymnasium and the home team managed to come out ahead, winning 79x62.

Flamengo and Mogi das Cruzes will face each other again next Friday (04) and this time Rubro-Negro will play alongside Nação, at Arena Carioca 1. The ball will go up from 20 pm.
The game
The match in Mogi das Cruzes started with a bang, and Flamengo quickly took a 7-0 lead with points from Varejão and Cubillán. FlaBasquete had the advantage in rebounding and forced the opposing coach to call a timeout. In the final stretch of the quarter, the home team came to their senses and managed to turn the score around to 20-15.
Following the match, JP Batista commanded the paint and ignited the match, putting the Red-Blacks back in front 24-23. The home team tried to pressure José Neto's team, but Marcelinho and Arthur Pecos were well-placed for three-pointers. The match remained evenly matched, and Mogi managed to hold on to the lead and go into halftime with a 40-36 lead.
The third quarter began much like the rest of the game. With a very even match, the Red-Blacks relied on Marcelinho's quality to score and managed to close the gap, reducing the deficit to one point (54-53). Mogi only reacted after a timeout from their coach and managed to regain a comfortable lead, closing the period at 60-49.
In the final quarter, Flamengo put pressure on the home team and managed to reduce the score to 60-53. The ball kept refusing to fall into the red-black attack, and the home team took advantage of this to once again build a good lead and close the game at 79-62.
