Teams enter the State Basketball Championship in search of good results

After securing victory in the debut of the State Championship, the youth (under-19) red-black basketball team faces Clube Municipal, this Wednesday (18.04), at 20 pm, in Gávea, in a match valid for the second round. Flamengo debuted in the competition with a victory over Iguaçu BC, 91 to 45, and remains confident.
Coach Paulo Chupeta believes in his team's potential and hopes to improve in the competition by winning another game.
"We intend to continue progressing in the championship. We still have to correct some mistakes, but we are training very hard to correct them, because in the fifth round we will face Tijuca, which is a strong team and we need to be prepared," said Chupeta.
The under-14 team also takes to the court tomorrow against Clube Municipal, in its state championship debut. The team plays before the youth team, at 18:30 p.m.
The other youth categories will be in action on Sunday (29.04), against Tijuca Tênis Clube, also for the State Championship. The under-13s will play at 9 am, the under-15s at 10:30 am and the under-17s at 12 pm.
