Last weekend, the red-black youth team's schedule was busy. Facing Tijuca Tênis Clube, away from home, and Fluminense, in Gávea, Rubro-Negro played two more rounds of the State Championship in the U-13, 15 and 19 categories. On Friday (06), the matches were held in Tijuca and Flamengo won two victories. On Sunday (08), closing the sequence of matches, two more positive results for FlaBasquete. 

The U-19 team defeated Tijuca 58-39. Matheus Macaé, with 12 points, six rebounds, and a +16 efficiency rating; and Lucas Aprigio, with 12 points, three rebounds, and a +14 efficiency rating, were the standouts of the match. Against Fluminense, in the 71-39 victory, Aprigio once again took center stage. The power forward scored 17 points, grabbed four rebounds, and added an assist. Forward Aieser, with 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists, also finished the match as one of the red-and-blacks' standouts. With this result, the team led by coach Fernandinho took first place in the state championship.  

In the U-15 division, Flamengo's performance was 100%. Against Tijuca, Flamengo won 39-36. Jonathan Ferreira (11 points) and Gabriel Landeira (10 points) were the top scorers for the Mais Querido. In the Fla-Flu derby, the boys from Gávea continued their strong performances and beat the Tricolor team 48-33, taking the lead in the championship. 

Despite a valiant effort, the U-13 team suffered a setback in both matches. Facing Tijuca, the score was 51-10. In the derby against Fluminense, the score was 35-22 for the opposing team. 

The next matches for the U-15 and U-19 categories will be against Club Municipal on the road on April 15th. The U-13 teams will host Abig at the Hélio Mauricio gymnasium in Gávea on April 28th.

The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the club.
