Flamengo's youth basketball teams continue to achieve good results in the Rio de Janeiro championship. This Saturday (15), the under-13, under-15 and under-17 teams took to the court in Gávea. They faced the youth teams of Jequiá and won.
The under-13 team, coming off a 72-37 victory against Vasco, beat their opponents 56-25. The under-15s, who had lost to their rivals 63-58, scored a huge victory against Jequiá: 79-14. The older boys, who were also coming off a loss to Cruzmaltino (65-50), scored twice as many points as their opponents: 78-36.
The youth basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional), Banco Bonsucesso and Brasil Brokers – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
