Flamengo's base wins two in basketball

The Flamengo children's (under-15) and children's (under-17) basketball teams defeated América de Três Rios by 89 to 49 and 67 to 50, respectively, in matches valid for the State Championship, last Wednesday (20.07), at the opponent's home.
For the children's team, the team's coach, Igor Meletti, was very pleased with the boys' performance and the elastic score.
"It was a tough game, but the team knew how to hold off the opponent. The defense was very well positioned and we managed to come away with a good victory," said Igor.
In the children's game, the game was more evenly matched, resulting in a 17-point victory for the red-and-blacks. The game's top scorer was Daniel Lorio, who scored 21 points.
The children's and infanto teams will return to the court against Botafogo, on Sunday (31.07), at the opponent's home at 15:30 pm and 17 pm respectively.
