The youth basketball teams returned to the court this past week, and of the four matches played, "Mais Querido" came away with victories on three occasions. The under-13 and under-14 boys faced their respective teams from Jequiá. The under-19s played against Botafogo, as did the under-14s, who returned to the court at the end of the week. Last Thursday (August 18.08), the under-14s kicked off the round by beating Jequiá 69-23. The boys from this team played again this Wednesday (August 23.08), this time against Botafogo. The under-14s once again came out on top, beating Alvinegro 54-38. The under-19s, in a very close game, lost to the Rio de Janeiro team 59-61 on the same day. On Thursday (August 24.08), it was the under-15s' turn to take the court. The team beat Jequiá by an impressive score of 68-4.
