Two teams from Flamengo's youth basketball team took to the court last weekend and performed well. In matches valid for the first round of the State Championship quarterfinals, the U-17, U-15, and U-13 teams gave their opponents no chance.
The under-17s beat Jequiá 82-25 and the under-15s beat the same opponent 70-41. In the under-13s category, the opponent was Vasco and the red-black boys won 52-30.
The second game of the quarterfinals will be held this week. The under-17 and under-15 teams play against Jequiá next Wednesday (24.10/20), away from home, at 18:30 pm and 13:26.10 pm respectively. The under-16 team faces Vasco next Friday (XNUMX/XNUMX), at ABVRJ, at XNUMX:XNUMX pm.
The red-black under-14 team faces Tijuca next Thursday, at 20 pm, in the first game of the State Championship final.
