Flamengo's youth basketball team will take to the court this weekend
The red-and-black teams will face Tijuca, at their opponent's home, for the State Championship

Flamengo's youth basketball teams will take to the court this Saturday (17.09), against Tijuca Tênis Clube, for the 2011 State Championship. The children's team plays at 12:30 pm and the junior team at 14 pm, at the Tijuca gymnasium. The red-black youth team had its match against the same opponent postponed and will only play on Friday (23.09), at 17 pm, at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in Gávea.
Last Saturday (September 10.09), the youth teams played against Fluminense, at the opponent's home ground. The youth team defeated Tricolor 69-52. The top scorer of the match was Bernardo Campos, with 17 points. The youth team defeated their rival 90-84 in overtime. The highlight for the red-and-black team was Daniel Lorio, with 20 points. The youth team wasn't as fortunate and lost by a margin of just four points: 51-55.
