Flamengo's youth basketball team won the National Tournament title, held in Cardoso Moreira, undefeated. In the final, last Sunday (July 31.07), the red-black team beat Olympico, from Minas Gerais, 65 x 53.
Flamengo's campaign in the competition was impeccable. In its debut, the team crushed Vitória by an incredible score of 103 to 10. The match's top scorer was Flamengo's João Vitor, with 32 points. In the following game, Flamengo defeated Club Rio das Ostras, 82 to 29. The Flamengo's standout player was Leonardo Medeiros, with 15 points.
