Flamengo's youth basketball team (under-19) defeated Iguaçu by 74 to 35, last Wednesday (24.08), at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in Gávea, in a match valid for the 2011 State Championship. The top scorer of the match was the red-black Gabriel Andrade, with 19 points.
In an easy match, the Gávea team came under some pressure from the opposing attack early on, but soon settled into defense and managed it for the rest of the match. Flamengo remained in front throughout the match.
