Flamengo's youth basketball team lets victory slip away to Macaé

With a four-point difference on the scoreboard, the red-black youth basketball team let the victory slip away to Macaé, 52 to 56, in the last round of the State Championship, which took place this Wednesday at 11 am, in Gávea.
In a very tight match, Flamengo, currently in first place in the Championship standings, managed to gain a 14-point lead over their opponents. Macaé, however, second in the standings, capitalized on the Flamengo's defensive lapses and won the match.
Flamengo dominated the first quarter, finishing 19-9. Macaé did so in the second quarter. In the third quarter, Flamengo recovered and finished with a 10-point lead. In the final quarter, Macaé took the lead and held it until the end. Gabriel Andrade was the Flamengo's top scorer with 21 points.
The team returns to the court against Fluminense, a postponed game, on Friday (09.09), at 8 am, in Gávea.
