Flamengo's under-19 basketball team is in the final of the State Championship after winning both semifinal playoff games against Botafogo. In the first game, the red-and-black team defeated their opponent 61-38 and in the second, 65-56.
The boys from Gávea will face Tijuca Tênis Clube in the final, which will be played over three games and has no confirmed date yet.
The club's other youth teams will take the court against Club Municipal this Wednesday (September 19.09) in the State Championship. The under-17 team is third in the competition standings with 33 points and plays at 20 p.m. at the Municipal Stadium. The under-15 team is the undefeated leader of the competition with 32 points and also takes the court at 17 p.m. at the same venue. The under-13 team is also third with 26 points and plays at 18:30 p.m.
