Red-black youth basketball has another round of victories
Check out the results of the under-13, under-15 and under-17 games this past Saturday (06.05)
By Isabel Oberg - in The youth basketball teams of the red-and-black team returned to the court this past weekend (May 06.05) and, with impressive results, all left the court as winners. The under-13, under-15, and under-17 boys faced their respective teams from ABIG/Jequiá, in Gávea, in the first round of the State Championship.
With a difference of almost 100 points, the under-15s beat the visiting team 119-10. The under-17s were not far behind and made home court advantage prevail, beating their opponents 100-14. The under-13s also left the court with the victory, but beat their opponents by WO.
This coming Thursday (11.05) it is the turn of the under-14 and under-19 teams to honor the Sacred Mantle. The boys from both teams face Vasco da Gama, away from home.
The Flamengo Regatas basketball teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of funds from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the club.
