Flamengo officially said goodbye to the Basketball Development League (LDB) on Sunday afternoon (3.03) after beating São José and securing third place in the competition. The Most Beloved won 82 to 79. In the farewell match, point guard Gegê made history and obtained the first triple double of the tournament: 11 rebounds and 10 assists, scoring 14 points in the game (Feliz and Chupeta had the same score).

"The triple-double is a result of our work on the court. The most important thing was to come away with a win, which we didn't achieve yesterday against Bauru. Even so, we won today and secured third place overall. Congratulations to the entire group, and now we're focused on tomorrow's NBB game against Mogi," said the point guard. Douglas led all scorers with 15 points.

Until the final quarter, Flamengo's U-22 team seemed poised for a comfortable victory. However, São José took a 24-8 lead and sent the match into overtime. In the final minutes, Flamengo regained control and emerged victorious by three points. For winger Chupeta, despite the scare, the result was worth participating in the tournament.

"The team came out on the court today very different from yesterday. We opened up a 23-point lead, but we suffered a drop in performance at the end and they reacted. Even so, I'm happy with the recovery and that we're leaving here with the victory in this match," he explained.
