Fighting for a place in the grand final of Novo Basquete Brasil 11, the teams promise another electrifying duel, this time in front of the red-black fans.
Flamengo x Botafogo
This will be the ninth match between Flamengo and Botafogo in the 2018/19 season. The teams have met four times in the Campeonato Carioca, two in the finals, one in the Super 8, and three in the NBB.
The Red-Black team has never lost to Botafogo since the club's return to basketball. In the national tournament, they have faced each other five times and have never lost.
The last clash was on Friday (3), when Fla beat their rivals 79-77 at the Oscar Zelaya gym. In a very balanced duel, Mais Querido had an incredible basket from Marquinhos on the last ball, gaining the advantage in the semifinal series of NBB 11.

Botafogo finished the qualifying phase in sixth place with a modest campaign, totaling 12 wins, 14 losses and a 46.2% success rate in 26 games.
In the quarterfinals, Botafogo had a tough series against Pinheiros, battling until the end. Winning the first match at home, the team lost two in a row in São Paulo and had to draw in Rio de Janeiro. Returning to Poliesportivo Henrique Villaboim, Botafogo fought back to win, taking the title 82-78.
