Students of the Physical Education undergraduate course at Estácio de Sá University were present at Tijuca Tênis Clube, on the evening of last Wednesday (26), to take a different test. Taught by professor Byra Bello, basketball commentator for SporTV channels, the class had as its main topic the duel between Flamengo and Pinheiros, valid for Game 3 of the quarterfinals of Novo Basquete Brasil 9.

"I've been doing this for a long time, and I've been bringing students to watch the games for a while now. I think they need to experience the practice outside the university walls; they can't be limited to what's taught in the classroom. They love it because they learn a lot from the games," explained Byra Bello about the idea of ​​teaching a student at the Tijuca gymnasium.

He also explained the importance of conducting assessments during the match: "I always invite several classes to the games and also to do some work, as students can get distracted just watching. Having a task to complete requires greater concentration, and I think they learn. Practice has taught me that they learn much more. At a Flamengo game, when most are rooting for the team, it's great for the students."

"Most are in their sixth year of their bachelor's or licentiate degree. Soon they will be teachers or working in this field. Many have already come and will never forget this wonderful experience," the commentator added.
