This Tuesday (8), point guard Gegê turns 25 years old. Despite his youth, the athlete is going to his third consecutive Final Four - all with Flamengo, the only club to reach this milestone -, seeking with the Rubro-Negro the second championship of the League of the Americas. On his birthday, the celebrations began on the court: in the morning, the Pride of the Nation had its last training session in Brazil before traveling to Venezuela, host of the continental championship final.

"It's very motivating. On such an important date for me, my birthday, I'm doing our last training session in Brazil, on the eve of the semifinal of the most important championship of the season. God willing, I'll get a victory as a gift and I'll be able to celebrate everything together," said the number 19, who is hoping to go to his second Intercontinental Cup - the athlete was world champion with the Sacred Mantle in 2014.

Flamengo faces Bauru, an old acquaintance of Novo Basquete Brasil, in the semifinals, in a repeat of the final of the last edition of the NBB, in which the Rubro-Negro became three-time consecutive champions. The Brazilian teams duel for a spot in the grand final at 18:45 pm (Brasília time) this Friday (11). You can watch the broadcast in real time on Flamengo's official Twitter profile.
