Last Sunday (15.11), Mais Querido celebrated 120 years of foundation. To celebrate its anniversary, Rubro-Negro participated in a friendly match against Orlando City and, during halftime, he paid tribute to the 1981 world champions and FlaBasquete. Among the athletes who participated was captain Marcelinho Machado, one of the athletes who won the 2014 championship:

"It was really cool to meet the world champions of football. I saw and watched that generation win everything and being able to be behind the scenes with them, before stepping onto the pitch, was a very emotional moment," he said.

The representatives of the '81 title and the Pride of the Nation signed the Maracanã Golden Book as a token of gratitude for their contributions to the sport. Marcelinho spoke of his joy at signing the Golden Book at the "temple of football."

"It was very unusual for basketball players to sign the Golden Book of Maracanã, the ultimate temple of football. This is something we must cherish," said Marcelinho.
