Basketball youth teams compete for state title
U-15, U-17 and U-19 teams take to the court for finals in December

December will be a month of decisions for Flamengo's youth basketball teams. The under-15, under-17, and under-19 teams will take to the court against Tijuca Tênis Clube, Fluminense, and Macaé, respectively. The finals will be best-of-three series. Next Monday (December 08.12th), the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, at the Gávea social headquarters, will host the first Fla-Flu of the under-17 team's series, at 19:30 pm.
The under-15 team has already begun its series of finals, on November 18th, against Tijuca, after eliminating Fluminense in the semifinals 2-0 (56-43 and 75-55). The first game ended with a victory for Flamengo, 65-59. The second game will be at the opponent's gymnasium on December 13th at 16 PM. The third, if necessary, is scheduled for the 15th. The under-17 team will still play its series against Fluminense, after eliminating Tijuca in the semifinals 2-1 (43-50; 72-47 and 76-73). The games against Fluminense will be on December 8th, 12th, and 16th, if necessary. The under-19 boys face Macaé, after overcoming Tijuca in the semifinals 2-0 (75-55 and 72-63). The decisive matches are scheduled for December 14, 19, and 21, if necessary.
