Top scorer of the game, Cubillan says victory strengthens the team

Venezuelan scores 20 points and unbalances the game against Mogi

For the third time this NBB season, David Cubillán finished as the top scorer. This Saturday, his 20 points were crucial in Flamengo's 75-72 away defeat of Mogi das Cruzes, their third straight win on their São Paulo tour, and their seventh straight victory in the competition. The Venezuelan also dished out five assists in his XNUMX minutes on the court.

At the end of the match, Cubillán didn't take credit for himself and, as usual, passed on the credit for the hard-fought victory to his teammates.

"It was a game we knew would have a playoff atmosphere. I think we stayed focused throughout the game, offensively and defensively. We won a game that helps us grow as a team," said the point guard.

Flamengo returns to the court this Monday, against Botafogo, at 19 pm, at Arena Carioca 1. Botafogo will be in charge, so there will be no red-black fans present at the venue.
