The time has come! FlaBasquete faces Minas in search of a spot in the Champions League semifinals.
The final 8 of the competition takes place at Arena Carioca 1, with tickets on sale from R$10
By Communication - Flamengo - inCurrent champion of the Basketball Champions League Americas, FlaBasquete will enter the court at Arena Carioca 1, this Wednesday (6), at 20:40 pm, in search of a place in the semifinals of the competition. The opponent will be an old acquaintance of Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), Minas Tênis Clube.

“They are a good team, they beat us twice in the regular season, but we had difficult moments and good moments in the games against them, unfortunately. They play well defensively, collectively, and have a good transition. So we have to be well prepared defensively, focus on getting plenty of rebounds; it's more than a mental game. But now we're mentally focused and ready," declared Lucas Martinez, who also called on the nation to attend the decisive matches. "Come support us at the Arena; we'll love it. It's the biggest tournament in South America, and we need you," he concluded.

Franco Balbi also commented on the important points for the team to focus on in this great challenge for their debut in the Final 8 of the competition.
"We're already in the final stretch of this incredibly important tournament for all of us. Minas is a very tough opponent; this will be the fourth time we'll play them this year. We'll focus as much as possible and try to take away all their game volume, which is immense," said the red-and-black point guard, who assured that he will have no shortage of grit with the ball in his hands. "We'll give everything on the court to represent you and this jersey. We're counting on your support," he said.
The Champions League Final 8 runs until April 9th, with all matches taking place at Arena Carioca 1 in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro's West Zone. Fans opting to access the stadium by public transportation should get off at the "Parque Olímpico" BRT station.
