Pacifier approves Flamengo's performance in the LDB stage
Despite being shorthanded, the team plays well and remains top of the competition after 24 matches.

The fourth stage of the qualifying round of the Basketball Development League (LDB) has concluded, and the leader, Flamengo, remains unchanged. In 24 games, they won 22 and lost only two. An incredible campaign, which saw Paulo Chupeta's team score 66 points, three more than second-place Basquete Cearense.
In Recife, where the fourth stage of the LDB was played, the Mais Querido played with a weakened squad. Point guard Gegê didn't even travel with the group due to commitments with the Red-Black Adult team, and starters Douglas and Diego Marques only played two of the five rounds played in Pernambuco.
"The important thing was that the team performed very well, even though it wasn't complete. After the second match, I was only left in Recife with under-19 players, and we had to face the other clubs with their under-22 squads. Even so, we managed to beat Vitória and Náutico, with the fans against us. The result was very positive, and we remain at the top of the competition, giving our younger players a chance to play. I can certainly count on players like Alef, Léo, and Danielzinho... We're on the right track to develop new players," said coach Paulo Chupeta.
The fifth and final stage of the LDB qualifying phase will begin on the 31st and will be played in São Paulo. The opponents will be Tijuca, São José, Paulistano, and Pinheiros. The goal is to finish the qualifying phase in first place, as the first-place team will have the advantage of playing the final at home.
