This Monday (3), a big game officially returns after nine years. Flamengo and Vasco face each other in the Rio de Janeiro Basketball Championship.

After defeating Macaé and Botafogo, the Pride of the Nation faces a historic rival. Flamengo and Vasco have already won the Rio de Janeiro state championship 16 times—eight titles each. Vasco is the current state champion—eleven consecutive titles—and is vying for another title.

The last time they met in the competition, in 2007, Mais Querido beat their rivals in the final in two exciting matches - the second ended with a score of 75 x 73 for Rubro-Negro.

The ball goes up at Tijuca Tênis Clube at 20 p.m., and with Flamengo's sole fans, tickets are sold out. The match will be broadcast on globoesporte.com.
