On Saturday night (March 29.03th), right after the soccer semifinal against Cabofriense at Maracanã, Flamengo fans can go to Tijuca Tênis Clube to support the basketball stars. Flamengo, guaranteed a spot in the playoffs and ranked at the top of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), faces Franca at 21 pm. The game will be marked by the presentation of banners to the champions of the League of the Americas. Fans who participate in the action during halftime will be able, at the end of the game, to take photos with the trophy of the continental competition, won for the first time and undefeated by Mais Querido, as well as with players from the basketball team. As a tribute to the U-17 women's water polo team, this year's Brazilian champions, the athletes will enter the court alongside the basketball team.

Analyzing the match, coach José Neto believes that the team must play with total seriousness, against the strong team from Franca, who are still looking for a better position in the table.

 

"It's a tough game against Franca, an opponent that defends very well. We know they put a lot of energy into defense, as they're one of the best teams in that regard. We have to be very focused so that our attack is high-quality. They're looking to improve their playoff spot and are coming in with a strong recovery. We have to be very alert," said Neto.
