For those who have been missing it, the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) is back. The seventh edition of the competition begins this Friday (October 31.10st) at 19:30 PM, in a rematch of last season's final between Flamengo and Paulistano. The press conference launching the championship took place on Thursday afternoon (October 30.10th) in São Paulo, the location of the tournament's first game. Flamengo, defending its NBB title, returns to the competition strengthened and with an enviable record.

Ten-time state champions, three-time national champions, continental and world champions. Despite all the titles won, the players led by José Neto know that they will face great opponents, extremely motivated to defeat them. "The least we can do for this fanbase is always fight to win. We will have a long season, with great opponents, and it will be very difficult. We are already preparing in the best possible way for what we will face, aiming to continue winning titles," said the Flamengo coach.

Marcelinho, shooting guard for the Pride of the Nation, was present at the launch event and made a point of avoiding any kind of hype. "Favorite status is built on the court throughout the championship. Perhaps in the second half of the season we will be able to point to a favorite," he concluded.
