With a 2-0 lead in the series, FlaBasquete can secure the NBB title this Thursday (27)
The clash against São Paulo promises to be balanced after two matches decided in the final seconds.
By Helena Petry - inThe Pride of the Nation is one step away from its seventh NBB championship! This Thursday (27), at 18:30 pm, at Maracanãzinho, Flamengo takes the court needing just one victory to secure the title of the competition. With a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-five series, the Most Beloved wants to end the season making history with 34 consecutive victories, 23 in the tournament, and no defeats this year.
According to coach Gustavo De Conti, the team only has its eyes on the cup and will go all out for the third match.
"We want it much more than anyone else. We're always hungry for titles, and now, more than ever, we want to finish this season with a bang," said the coach. "We're kind of having that 'so close, yet so far' feeling. Despite the 2-0 lead, it's still so far away because we need to rebuild everything in the third game, and that's why we're talking now and we're going to throw everything we have into this match. We're not going to hold anything back for potential games 4 and 5. We're not going to manage anything; we're going to go all out."
The match will be broadcast live on ESPN, TV Cultura, and Dazn, with real-time coverage on Twitter @TimeFlamengo. After two thrilling matches decided in the final seconds, the third leg promises to be another spectacle. With the exception of Franco Balbi, who is recovering from right knee surgery, Flamengo has a full squad available to coach Gustavo De Conti.
