Just like in the first round, Flamengo defeated Botafogo. In the seventh NBB derby between the teams, Flamengo defeated Botafogo at General Severiano by a score of 73-67, also marking the Pride of the Nation's sixth consecutive victory in the competition. Marquinhos was the standout player with 22 points and nine rebounds, nearly achieving a double-double. Olivinha with 10 points and seven rebounds and Varejão with 11 points and five rebounds also stood out in the hard-fought victory. 

Playing with the support of their home fans, Botafogo capitalized on home advantage in the first quarter and turned the Red-Blacks' lead from 8-0 to 16-08 against a Flamengo side that couldn't put the ball in the basket. Nothing was going right for Gustavo De Conti's team. They only scored 13 points in 10 minutes, far below their potential. 

After halftime, however, everything changed. With two three-pointers from Deryk and one from Jhonatan, Flamengo turned the game around, taking a 9-0 lead in the first half and showing that the first-quarter scenario was behind them. Botafogo still tried to close the gap, but the technical difference began to tilt the game in favor of the red-and-black team, and the team never relinquished the lead. With eight seconds remaining, the game tied at 31-31, but Varejão hit two free throws and closed the half ahead. 

After halftime, Marquinhos began his show. The MVP scored 11 points, including three from distance. The winger earned his MVP title last season and completely changed the game's trajectory. Flamengo played its best half, closing the 10-minute period with a 15-point lead (59-44), practically sealing the match's fate. 

The final stage was tense, but Flamengo never lost control of the game. With the added bonus, the team managed the result, and even with fewer points (12-20), they managed to remain calm in their decision-making and emerge victorious. Flamengo is now preparing to face Minas Tênis Clube on the 09th at Tijuca Tênis Clube.
