After achieving a good victory in the first game of the series against Minas Tênis Clube away from home, it was FlaBasquete's turn to act with the support of the Nation this Tuesday (17). On a night where the collective game spoke louder at Arena Carioca 1, the team led by José Neto won 101x74 and opened 2-0 in the confrontation without major difficulties for NBB 10. 

The game's top scorer was center JP Batista with 23 points. The number 13 also had seven rebounds. Marquinhos added 21 points and also excelled offensively. MJ Rhett led the red-and-black team in assists.  

The teams will face each other again next Thursday (19), again at Arena Carioca 1. In the event of a new red-black victory, Flamengo will close the series at 3-0 and will face the winner of Mogi das Cruzes and Caxias-RS in the semifinal.

The match at Arena Carioca 1 started with a lively and competitive start for both teams. In the opening minutes, "Mais Querido" scored through Anderson Varejão and Marquinhos to take a 14-09 lead. Their opponents tried to mount a comeback, but José Neto's team was well-positioned on defense and closed the first quarter with a 23-20 lead. 

With the unconditional support of the nation in the Arena, Flamengo came back strong, and the trio of MJ Rhett, JP Batista, and Marcelinho were inspired, opening up a 14-point lead (44-30). Another standout in the quarter was Arthur Pecos. In addition to playing excellent defense, the number 23 provided two assists and grabbed two rebounds. FlaBasquete went into halftime with a 53-35 lead. 

Despite being well on the way to victory, Flamengo returned to the final quarter with the same pace as at the beginning of the match, and Cubillan took an 88-54 lead. The gala performance at Arena Carioca 1 surpassed the 100-point mark with a two-pointer from MJ Rhett, making it 101-74 and giving the final score to the second match of the series.
