With the victory, José Neto's team took a huge step toward securing qualification this Thursday against Colombia's Cimarrones del Choco. 

The game was evenly matched for the first two quarters, but from the third onward, it was all Flamengo. With standout performances from Marquinhos, Cubillan, Ramon, and Olivinha, Flamengo extended their lead with each attack, while the Uruguayans made a series of errors and barely made a dent in the score. With 18 points, Marquinhos finished the match as the top scorer. 

After the match, Olivinha was full of praise for the team, but emphasized that the competition is not over and there is still a game tomorrow. 

Flamengo started the game with a starting five of Cubillan, Ramon, Marquinhos, Olivinha, and JP. The first half was evenly matched, with the teams alternating in front. The Uruguayans took advantage of Flamengo's foul limit to take the lead with four minutes remaining, as well as their good attacking performance. With 40 seconds remaining, however, Ramon fired a shot from the dead zone to put Flamengo ahead 20-18. Hebraica tied the game on free throws with Morales, but Ramon, once again the star of the first 10 minutes, gave Flamengo the lead, which closed the first quarter ahead 22-20.

If Flamengo's second quarter was one to forget in their opening match the previous day, this one was completely different. The half began as the first ended, with Ronald Ramon scoring another three-pointer, another from the dead zone. With the defense working, the Pride of the Nation held off Hebraica, who took more than two minutes to score their first two points. And it was Flamengo who broke through. After a three-pointer from Morales, Neto called a timeout to get his team back on track. On the return, Marotta turned the score around for Hebraica. The team switched: Marquinhos, Olivinha, and Cubillan came on, and it was up to the Venezuelan to turn it around for Flamengo again. And Marcelinho, twice in a row, made it 34-30 for the Red-Blacks. In complete control in the quarter, only Flamengo kept scoring, while Hebraica accumulated errors. With 30 seconds remaining, Cubillan made a great play with Olivinha, crossed the court and received the ball on the other side to shoot a three-point shot and open up a 12-point lead, the biggest lead of the game so far (42x30). Izaquirre still had three free throws at the end, but the fourth ended with a great advantage for Mais Querido: 42x33.

With the GPS in hand, Flamengo began the third quarter determined to kill the game. Cubillan, Marquinhos, and MJ mercilessly overwhelmed the Uruguayan defense. With few errors on offense, the Pride of the Nation extended its lead with each trip to the paint. With four minutes remaining, the lead reached 18 (61-43), but the team didn't stop. Grabbing defensive and offensive rebounds, it extended its lead and sealed the game in the first half. With a minute remaining, Olivinha hit a three-pointer to make it 71-44, and there was still time for Pilar to save two more free throws and make the lead 29. 

With the score in Neto's favor, he began the fourth quarter with Pilar and Humberto on the court to give the players rhythm and chemistry, but the level didn't wane—quite the opposite. Shots were falling from everywhere, and the comfortable lead only grew. Marquinhos was benched for a rest, and it was up to Olivinha to decide the match. The final score of 91-57 only demonstrated the red-and-black team's superiority on a spectacular night.
