FlaBasquete achieved its ninth victory in the NBB CAIXA on Thursday night (22). Playing at Tijuca Tênis Clube, Flamengo beat Vitória 98 x 87 in a game that marked Olivinha's hundredth double-double, the absolute record holder in the history of the competition. Under the watchful eyes of Jerome Meyinsse, present in the gymnasium, the Pride of the Nation was imposing from start to finish to remain the leader of the championship.
"I'm very happy to achieve another double-double, especially reaching my 100th in NBB history. It's even more special for me because it was with Flamengo. It's a milestone I'm going to celebrate a lot," said Olivinha about the achievement.

After Tuesday's setback against Basquete Cearense, Flamengo took to the court with great intensity, determined to bounce back. Even playing against a strong rival, Vitória, currently third in the competition, José Neto's team dictated the pace of the game from the start. With good movement and efficiency, Flamengo finished the first quarter with a five-point lead: 25-20.
In the second period, the dominance continued and the advantage became even more crucial to the course of the game. Mixing three-point and two-point baskets, Flamengo scored 25-19 and finished the first half winning 50-39.
During halftime, Jerome Meyinsse, currently playing for San Lorenzo (ARG) and a fan favorite, entertained the children present at the TTC. Upon returning, without the fun and playing seriously, Flamengo won the third quarter 25-23, taking a good lead into the final quarter.
In the final ten minutes, Flamengo managed the result. Even with a 25-23 deficit in that period, they closed the game with an impressive 98-87 victory. Now, the Pride of the Nation faces Caxias on December 27th, also at Tijuca.
