Undisputed victory with a rain of three-pointers! Playing away from home in the NBB 12, FlaBasquete beat Paulistano 86-70 on Monday night (10), in a game held at the Antônio Prado Jr. gymnasium, in São Paulo. Going through an excellent phase with the Manto Sagrado, Leo Demétrio was the top scorer of the match with 19 points.

The game
FlaBasquete started the first quarter ahead with a three-pointer from Rafael Mineiro. The match was fairly even, with both teams alternating the lead on the scoreboard. Mengão's players had their hands in check and were hitting three-pointers, which made the difference, leading the first quarter 24-20.

In the second quarter, the Red-Blacks maintained their strong three-point shooting performance, particularly with Leo Demétrio, who was having an inspired night. The Pride of the Nation was well-positioned on defense, stealing balls and quickly transitioning to attack. With Deryk and Franco Balbi on the court, the Red-Blacks had two point guards creating plays, facilitating the scoring. By the end of the quarter, coach Gustavo de Conti's team had a healthy lead: 43-32.

Returning for the third quarter, the Mais Querido continued with the same intensity shown in the first half. Paulistano attempted a comeback early on, but was quickly thwarted by the solid Flamengo defense. Leo Demétrio, a very good offensive player, also excelled on defense, making good saves. The São Paulo team began to exploit three-point shots, but the shots weren't falling, and as a result, Mengão managed to secure most of the rebounds. The third quarter ended with Flamengo leading 65-45.

In the final quarter, FlaBasquete began to manage the advantage they had gained throughout the game, while continuing to work on their attacking plays. Zach Graham also played a key role in creating three-pointers for the Rubro-Negro. In the final minutes, Paulistano managed to close the gap. In the decisive moment, Balbi made an excellent individual play, scoring the points and drawing a foul. Uruguayan Barrera showed his quality and hit two three-pointers, which were crucial in suppressing Paulistano's comeback and securing another impressive 86-70 victory for the Rubro-Negro.
