In another home game for the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), Flamengo beat the Rio Claro team 110 to 57 on Tuesday night (27), at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gymnasium, with a shower of three-pointers. Matheus Leoni, with 17 points, was the highlight of the match. With the elastic score, Orgulho da Nação achieved victory with the biggest difference in points of the season.

The game
FlaBasquete started the match working on possession in the attacking half, and after two attempts by the red-and-black team, Penka Aguirre scored the first two points of the game. Rio Claro, for its part, was also eager to play and took the lead after three baskets. After a timeout from coach Gustavinho, the Orgulho da Nação (Nation's Pride) prevailed and managed the comeback. In the dead zone, Hettsheimeir received an open ball and converted another three points for Mengão, who finished the first quarter leading 17-12.

In the second period, Olivinha took the court with his usual grit. He delivered a beautiful pass to Gabriel Jaú, who scored two more points for the Red-Blacks. Rio Claro's initial momentum was waning, with numerous miscues on offense. Meanwhile, Flamengo seized its opportunities to open up a lead. Jaú once again excelled, scoring two consecutive three-pointers, reaching his eighth point of the game alongside Penka Aguirre. Our number 9 was on target and, once again, hit another three-pointer. Hettsheimeir kept pace and also converted from the perimeter to give Flamengo a large lead at the end of the first half: 38-22.

In the third quarter, Gui Deodato converted two consecutive three-pointers, further increasing Rio Claro's lead. Following this, Olivinha also received the ball in a position to score another three points. It was a flurry of three-pointers! Two from Matheus Leoni and one from Luke Marinez. In the final quarter, FlaBasquete continued to impose its rhythm and score points. Another Gávea native, Rachel, also wanted to join in the rain dance, hitting three consecutive three-pointers. In the final minutes, Gui Deodato, with his usual skill, received two consecutive free throws and hit six more points for Fla. The Rubro-Negro scored an incredible 22 three-pointers in the match, finishing the game with the largest point difference in the NBB so far: 110-57.
