With absolute dominance, FlaBasquete beats União Corinthians by 89 to 71, at Maracanãzinho

On the night of another round of the NBB, FlaBasquete had a great collective performance and beat União Corinthians 89-71, at the Maracanãzinho gymnasium. American Devon Scott was the highlight of the match with 20 points. Now, the Pride of the Nation focuses its attention on the Super 8 Cup, next Sunday (28), against Bauru.

The match began with União Corinthians scoring the first two points. But the Pride of the Nation responded soon after with a three-pointer from Filipovity. The Hungarian then hit another from the perimeter to extend the lead. Gui Deodato also excelled, exploiting his speed and scoring two points on a layup. Mengão's number 1 scored 12 points in the first quarter alone. With that, the Rubro-Negro team ended up winning by a wide margin: 33 to 15.

2st Bedroom
União Corinthians tried to react early in the second period, but Mengão maintained the same momentum, scoring from the front and not allowing their opponent to get closer. Devon Scott went to the paint and dunked it. The American was also playing a key role in the execution of the Mais Querido's plays, which continued to dominate the game with a large 54-28 lead.

After halftime, the Pride of the Nation maintained its solid defense, making it difficult for the opponent to shoot. On offense, the red-and-black team continued to score. On the court, Olivinha received a pass in the paint, hit a layup, and was even fouled. He also converted the bonus play. Cuello also took advantage of the red-and-black team's momentum and converted a three-pointer. On defense, Maique blocked the opponent's shot. FlaBasquete completely dominated the match, closing the quarter with a massive lead: 77-41.

4st Bedroom
In the final quarter, with the game practically decided, coach Gustavo De Conti gave the team a run-through and let the young players play. Felipe Motta seized the opportunity, hitting a three-pointer. FlaBasquete controlled the game until the end and emerged with a solid 89-71 victory.
