Dominating from start to finish, FlaBasquete beats Unifacisa 101-73 in the NBB
Balbi was the standout performer with a double-double and 18 points. With the win, Orgulho da Nação secures a spot in the Super 8 Cup.

In another NBB match, FlaBasquete beat Unifacisa 101-73 on Saturday afternoon (23), at Maracanãzinho. Point guard Franco Balbi was the highlight of the match, achieving a double-double and scoring 18 points. With the result, Orgulho da Nação secured a spot in the Super 8 Cup, which will be played in early 2024.

1st Bedroom
FlaBasquete started the match ahead with two points from Gui Deodato. Hungarian Filipovity then showed excellent performance, executing two successful attacks, scoring four points. Diarra capitalized on a rebound in the paint to add two more points. Balbi, from the perimeter, showed his accuracy by converting a three-pointer. The Pride of the Nation played well collectively and built a significant lead in the first quarter: 29-10.
2st Bedroom
In a fine effort by the red-and-black attack, Cuello converted two more in the 24-second period. Kayo Gonçalves took a shot from the perimeter, but the ball fell. Unifacisa continued to perform well on offense, preventing Unifacisa from mounting a comeback. In the dead zone, Filipovity completed another three-pointer. Balbi worked the play well and found Gui Deodato in position to hit a three-pointer. The red-and-blacks maintained their momentum and went into halftime leading 57-32.

After halftime, Cuello intercepted a ball and led a counterattack to score two more for Mengão. When Unifacisa scored, the red-and-black team responded immediately. This maintained their advantage. Filipovity went for a solo play, penetrated the paint, and delivered a dunk that shook the backboard. Balbi, the red-and-black's standout player, hit another three-pointer. The Pride of the Nation continued to control the match, closing the quarter at 80-55.
4st Bedroom
Early in the fourth quarter, Filipovity and Gui Deodato each hit a three-pointer. The two also set up a good one-two on the counterattack, allowing Gui Deodato to score two more points on a layup. With relative ease, the Pride of the Nation reached its 101th mark and closed out the match with a solid 73-XNUMX victory.
