Excitement until the last second! Playing away from home again, FlaBasquete beat Minas 87-85 and had a happy night this Tuesday (23), at Arena UniBH. American Cummings was the highlight of the match with 21 points scored. With the result, the red-black team remains in the lead of the NBB and will have the classic against Vasco in the next round.

1st Bedroom

In the duel between the leaders, the game started quite balanced, with Minas scoring the first two points. FlaBasquete responded immediately with Cummings, who scored two points, drew a foul, and converted the bonus free throw. Throughout the quarter, the teams alternated in the lead. For Flamengo, Negrete and Cummings stood out offensively, with good shooting efficiency. In the final seconds, Gui Deodato hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 24-24. 

2st Bedroom

To put Flamengo ahead at the start of the second quarter, Shaq Johnson spun past his marker inside the paint and scored two points. When the Pride of the Nation opened up a small lead, Minas quickly reacted and tied the score again, making the game very balanced. When the home team hit a three-pointer, the Flamengo team responded immediately with a three-pointer from Shaq Johnson. In the final seconds, Gui Deodato hit a three-pointer, helping Flamengo go into halftime with a 50-45 lead. 

3st Bedroom

With a three-pointer from Negrete, Flamengo opened up an eight-point lead in the first minute of the third quarter, their biggest advantage so far. Minas, in turn, didn't allow Flamengo to pull away and managed to tie the game again. In the final minutes of the period, the game became electrifying with both teams trading points. With a four-point advantage, Minas closed the quarter at 69-65. 

4st Bedroom

In the final quarter, with a three-pointer from Baralle and another from Negrete, the Pride of the Nation regained the lead. After Paranhos blocked Jhonatan Luz, Kayo Gonçalves grabbed the rebound and scored another three-pointer for Flamengo. The lead changed hands constantly until the end, making the game electrifying. With a two-point advantage and excitement until the last second, FlaBasquete won 87-85 and remained at the top of the NBB standings.

The Pride of the Nation returns to the court next Saturday (27) for the classic against Vasco, at 16 pm, at the São Januário gymnasium, in another round of the NBB.
