The Brazilian basketball team finished fourth at the Gwangju Universiade in South Korea. In the early hours of Monday (July 13.07), in the bronze medal match, Brazil was defeated by Russia 80 to 72. The red-and-blacks Gegê and Humberto participated in the campaign.
At the 2015 Universiade, Brazil played eight games, winning five and losing three, precisely to the teams that finished in the top three. In the qualifying round, Brazil finished second in Group D, with nine points (four wins and one loss). In the quarterfinals, they defeated France 60-53; in the semifinals, Germany won 59-49.
