On Monday night (11), at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gym, FlaBasquete had no difficulty beating União Corinthians 95-77, in another round of the NBB 2024/25. Gui Deodato was the highlight of the match with 20 points. The Pride of the Nation will face the classic against Botafogo next Wednesday (13), again in Tijuca.

1st Bedroom
The game had barely begun when Alexey scored the first two points for Flamengo. Imposing their strong early pace, the Pride of the Nation dominated offensive possession. Gui Deodato scored his first three-pointer. Defensively, Flamengo closed down the spaces well and made it difficult for União Corinthians to penetrate the field. Deodato, who played very well, was the standout performer in the first quarter with 12 points. Mengão closed the quarter with a 30-18 lead.

2st Bedroom
On the court, Balbi penetrated the paint and scored two points for Flamengo on a layup. Exploiting their infiltration plays effectively, Flamengo was stopped by União Corinthians with fouls. Jordan Williams appeared unmarked in the dead zone and converted a three-pointer. Lucas Swiert then also scored a three-pointer to maintain a comfortable lead. The Pride of the Nation continued to lead and went into halftime with a 20-point lead: 59-39.

3st Bedroom
In the third quarter, the Pride of the Nation continued to dominate the court and maintained a comfortable lead. In the final minutes of the quarter, União Corinthians leveled the score and managed to reduce the red-and-black advantage somewhat. Flamengo quickly recovered and maintained a strong lead, winning the quarter 72-53.  

4st Bedroom
In the final quarter, the Pride of the Nation didn't let up and kept scoring. Another great play by Balbi saw the Argentinean penetrate the paint and score a layup. For the remainder of the quarter, FlaBasquete held onto their advantage and won the match 95-77.

The Pride of the Nation returns to the court on Wednesday (13) for the classic against Botafogo, at 18 pm, at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gym, for the NBB.
