Flamengo is on a roll. With their 83-76 victory over Minas Gerais on Friday night in Belo Horizonte, the Red-Blacks secured their fourth consecutive victory in the 2017 NBB, moving up to third place in the standings, and maintaining their strong form in the competition. Olivinha, with another double-double (10 points and 10 rebounds), was the standout performer of the night, while Marquinhos (10 points, eight rebounds, and four assists) and David Cubillan (14 points) were also key players. Now, the Mais Querido returns to the court only on the 21st, against Bauru, away from home.

Such a tight game couldn't have started any differently. The first quarter was slow to produce points for either team. Four minutes into the match, the score was 7-4 for the home team. It took time for the team to find its feet, and Olivinha, in two consecutive shots, turned the score around to 8-7. The score remained low, with both teams missing too many shots.
