In search of its seventh championship, Flamengo takes to the court this Friday (11.11/19) in the first match of the State Basketball Championship final. The red-and-black team faces Tijuca, at 15.11 pm, at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, in Gávea, with free admission. The second game takes place next Tuesday (17/16.11), the club's anniversary, at 19 pm, also in Gávea. For the final, Flamengo will count on star Leandrinho, who did not play in the first phase of the competition. This will be his first tournament in Brazil wearing the red-and-black jersey. Since joining the club, Leandrinho has played in six friendlies and the first phase of the South American League in Argentina.

"I'm very excited, as it will be my first official match wearing a Flamengo jersey at home. The Flamengo fans welcomed me very warmly here, and I hope I can reciprocate all that affection. We have to be careful, as Tijuca has put together a good team for the NBB competition, with experienced players who will try to surprise us," said Leandrinho.

Coach Gonzalo Garcia added that he wants to see the team playing better than in the last match of the first phase of the South American League, when they were defeated by Atenas (ARG).

\

"We had a moment of inattention in the last quarter of that match and gave up the victory. That can't happen against Tijuca. I hope the team plays better and gets a positive result," said Gonzalo.
