With top scorer Olivinha reaching 17 points and eight rebounds, Brazil secured early qualification for the semi-finals of the South American Championship in Venezuela with a crushing victory over Ecuador: 106 to 54. This Saturday (26.07), at 19pm, the National Team will have a big test in the classic against Argentina, but the match, valid for the 3rd round of the tournament, will not be decisive.

Power forward Olivinha highlighted the team's strengths in the match. "Attitude and concentration were our most positive aspects of the match. We didn't have a good first quarter, but we never lost focus on the victory. From the second quarter onwards, the team took off, and we had no trouble achieving our second positive result. Argentina will be a tough match due to the quality of their team. But I can assure you that we are prepared and very motivated to achieve the victory," he stated.

Besides Olivinha, two other Flamengo players stood out in the match. Point guard Gegê came off the bench and had a strong performance, with six points, eight assists, and two rebounds, as did young center Cristiano Felício, with eight points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
